  • I’ve been working on fixing email posts from various cell phone to
strip out provider ads.  Most of these ads are text attached to
the bottom of a post which can easily be cut out by appending “endpost”
to your message.  Although, there are some providers such as
T-Mobile which will add all sorts of html and images to your
message.  If you are seeing images that you didn’t attach come in
on your email posting, please let me know and I’ll have it fixed right
    away!

  • problem with sprint posting, I tried your endpost solution, and it doesn’t work, as you can see on my xanga.

  • Wow Davey! It’s so amazing that you’re doing this stuff!!

  • hi dave! i had a problem with it at first but everything’s ok now thanks to you!

  • Woah. Sorry I didn’t respond; I never look at my guest book. I’ve changed the song but I think it was The New Pornagraphers. By the way, I figured out that my browser was at fault, not the URL or Look and Feel page.

  • if i can just take the chance to say: the fact that you work for xanga making things better for all of us is awesome.

the fact that you do it while listening to brand new makes you worthy of worship

    haha

  • I needed to report this to someone, so I chose you since you got the least comments, and will be most likely to read mine.

On my xanga, as soon as anyone goes there, a few seconds later the screen turns black, and I get a message in red that says I was owned, and that some guy jacked into my site to do this to show that people have a false sense of security on the Internet. From there, it turns white and starts loading something else. Then my entire monitor turns blue with a Windows XP message blaming this on some file like “az7vdp” or something, and restarts.

    Please fix this!

  • Oh and please get someone to e-mail me about what you’re going to do/can do/already did, at livejesus44@aim.com

    Thank you very much.

  • Hey, just out of curiosity… how exactly are we supposed to post with a cell phone? The browser? MMS? It be nice to get some clarity. I didn’t find anything in the FAQ. Maybe its time for a FAQ update… ~love~

  • Just want to say hi~

I’m from HK and nice to meet you~

  • just saying hi

  • thank you for your continuous work on the cellphone posting

  • I was on Marc’s xanga a bit earlier, and I wanted to say hiie! ^_^

  • Need to add a way to pick privacy of the entry being sent through email posting.  Yes, there is default settings but for me to change the privacy of an emailed post, ai need to sign on from a pc.  Get my point?  Email posting before the pictures, had the option of typing under the subject if you wanted comments on, or if you wanted it public or private (no protected, which sucked) but atleast we had the option.  Fix it =).

  • Hi. I’ve just been playing with this feature recently. The first post that I did using my cellphone posted correctly. I added a text message with the picture message and the text appeared as a Title and as a caption. The title got truncated – I’m guessing because you limit the characters you can put on the title. Is there a way to post from a cellphone without posting a title? It just seems redundant to have the same title and caption .

The second time I posted pictures using my cellphone, it didn’t appear on my site. But when I logged in, the entry was there. And then I clicked “Public Preview” , and the post disappeared. The only way that  I got it to show public is by editing it.

    Cellphone details:

    Carrier: T-Mobile

    Cellphone model: Sony Ericsson s700i

    Thanks .

  • Bloggers, beware: Stock-photography companies such as Getty Images and Corbis are using high-tech tools to crack down on Web site owners who try to use their photographs without paying for them. Just an FYI

  • random props.. random props.. hows it going my man?

  • Look at my xanga layout, honestly.

    Xanga should hire me.

  • HELLO I HAVE TO POST SOMETHING BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY THAT I CAN EMAIL THE XANGA PEOPLE. THERE ISNT AN EMAIL ADDRESS ANYWHERE THAT I CAN USE.

when i post a weblog entry… it doesnt have any of the buttons like bod, italics, underline, font, font size, font color…etc etc. nothing like that is there. WHY? i went through and through the help section and found nothing. it says to simply click a link to switch the editor mode or w/e. the link IS NOT THERE.

please please please please get me some help. it’s very frustrating

  • hi, i have xanga premium and i use it to post pictures… usually they work well, but this time half of my pictures are not showing. i have only had this problem once (oct 2nd, i left you a message that time as well).

if you could help me with that, i’d really appreciate it! since the picture feature of xanga premium is the real reason why i have it.

    thank you,

    -Jenipher
